Short version: we do not track you. There is nothing to opt out of.

The one paragraph version

prices.eu.org is a static website. There are no accounts, no cookies, no tracking scripts, no profiling and no ads. Reading a page does not tell us who you are, and we have no way to follow you around the web.

What we collect: nothing

No cookies and no tracking via local storage. The site works fully without JavaScript; the small scripts only add table sorting and map toggles in your own browser.
No analytics scripts, no pixels, no third party trackers.
No contact form and no newsletter. If you email us, we only use your address to reply.

Cloudflare sits in front of the site

We use Cloudflare as a content delivery network and firewall. That means your request technically passes through their servers before it reaches our static files. This is standard practice: it keeps the site fast and protects it from abuse and denial of service attacks.

For you: nothing changes. No extra cookies from us, no account checks, no paywall. Cloudflare needs your IP address for the few seconds it takes to deliver the page (every website needs that to answer), then it is gone from our view.
For us as admins: we only see Cloudflare's privacy friendly analytics: approximate counts such as how many visits a page got and from which country. We cannot see your IP address or any personally identifying info about you in that dashboard.

Cloudflare has its own privacy policy for the data it processes on our behalf. If that bothers you, a VPN or Tor works fine with this site.

Embedded content

There is none. Maps, charts and tables on fuel, electricity, currency, housing, groceries, wages and purchasing power pages are rendered by us from open data. Nothing is loaded from ad networks or social media widgets.
